The Course
The 10km run/walk and Cycle events are 10km flowing through the streets of Wagga Wagga with both the start and finish at Apex Park Lake Albert.
The 5km run/walk event follows a course around Lake Albert with both the start and finish at Apex Park.
The course provides a unique experience that combines closed streets through Wagga Wagga with walking track along the banks of Lake Albert.
The 10km event starts at Apex Park Lake Albert. From the start, the course heads north along East Lake Drive and then on to Lake Albert Road. Continuing north along Lake Albert Road, there are two drinks stations along the gentle incline through Kooringal bringing participants to the highest point as we turn around just before the intersection with Lord Baden Powell Drive. The course then returns down Lake Albert Road to the northern end of Lake Albert and turns right onto the walking track around the Lake. Following south along the western shore of Lake Albert the track goes around the boat club and along the southern shore of the Lake before finishing after 10km back at Apex Park.
